Day-22 Tarpon Bay Kayak Trail Tour

Adventure day!   Jessie arranged for us to go on a biologist-guided kayak tour of the mangrove wildlife preserve in Tarpon Bay.    Ruth Ann is still recovering from her virus, so she and David did not go.
It was Jessie & Marty, Jeanette & Matt & Cameron, and I.  Barbara & Barry stayed behind to watch Maggie and be here when Sue & Scott visited for the day.

There were about 11 kayaks of families, some from Nottingham, England!    We all selected life jackets and assembled in a pavilion to get pre-trip instructions and guidance.

Jumped into kayaks and headed out on the 'trail'.

The biologist threw down her anchor at several spots and asked us to 'group together' for her talks.

This was a typical trail :

A fun adventure!   Birds we saw included : egrets, several kinds of herons, ibis, and more.
We had to battle the tide change AND a head wind paddling back to the center.   Whew! Work!

Barbara & Barry & Sue & Scott & Ruth Ann & David & Maggie were waiting for us.   After lunch, we all met down at the beach, where more wildlife awaited us.

Sue & Scott joined Barbara & Barry and I for dinner and more visiting.   Thanks for driving over!

Jeanette and Matt and Jessie and Marty went out for a 'date night'.    I watched Cameron & Maggie.
We first joined Barbara & Barry to watch another sunset.

I took Cameron and Maggie up to their unit.  Brushed teeth, read stories, sang songs, and tucked them in.    I was texted a picture from the date crew :

Another fun day in Captiva!    Mr. Cronn says so beautifully in his e-mail :  All sounds like fun enjoying the precious time together sharing, loving and celebrating.
