Day-23 Matt's Super Breakfast!

It's a good start to the day when you're invited over to the Fiess's for breakfast. Matt cooks pancakes, eggs, sausages, and hash browns.   Everyone was invited.   Good eats, visiting, and fellowship!

The morning sky was glorious!   Not only did we have a sunset last night, but a moon set this morning.

After breakfast, Cameron and Maggie and I went to a poolside table to start chipping and brushing  away rock dust from a second dinosaur block we dug up in the sand yesterday.

After a couple of hours of hard work, we uncovered bones that make up a triceratops!    Exciting!
It was then time for some ocean beach time.    Several couples went for bike rides.    Cameron was searching for shells with Marty in the waves close to shore and Jeanette helped Maggie discover her confidence in floating with her life jacket on!

Lunch followed, with more beach time afterwards.    Another beautiful day at the beach!  6-umbrellas, 9-chairs, a bucket of beach toys, 3-dip nets, 4-floating tubes, 2-floating balls, goggles, and 80-deg. water!

The Fiess's and Jessie and Marty stopped off at the pool for more play.  Matt & Marty took turns doing cannon balls and can openers, and Jeanette and Jessie and the kids played in the pool.

Barbara prepared noodles and sauce for those who wanted it, and Barry rode his bike down to the Bubble Room to get some of their delicious 'bubble bread'.   Ruth Ann & David brought over appetizers and wine.    Jessie and Marty joined us and we enjoyed another meal all together.

We cleaned up afterwards and went out for another sunset.

It's our last night together in Captiva.    The Fiess's, Ruth Ann & David, and Jessie & Marty all leave in the morning.   What a fun week!    Many THANKS to Barbara & Barry and Sue & Scott for sharing their time-share units with us.     This has been a very difficult and sad year for all of us after Mary's untimely and unexpected death.    We all need more family time together to help each other grieve.
Mary enjoyed her time here and shared many of her memories and shells with Jeanette, Jonathan, Jessie, and friends.   She would write special words in the sand and take pictures and make cards to send words of love and encouragement to everyone.   Jessie wrote this in her memory :
